Description The Social Services Department in Ovanåkers Municipality is now seeking a driven unit manager who wants to be part of developing the future of elderly care and our operations within home care, day activities, and respite care in the home. In the role of unit manager in Ovanåkers Municipality, you will have the opportunity to work in an organization with a good work climate and short decision-making paths, where you work close to your colleagues, management, and other collaboration partners. Within the Social Services Department, we operate based on trust-based leadership. Job Responsibilities With us, you will have overall responsibility that encompasses home care, day activities, and respite care in the home. Together with your team of approximately 30 dedicated employees, you drive the operations forward. As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for development, finances, personnel, work environment, and quality. You become a key person in our broad network and collaborate closely with both authorities, relatives, and individuals. You take a place in the Care Unit's management group, where your voice and drive are important in our joint development and quality work. Our organization is in constant development and areas of responsibility may change over time. Qualifications You have an academic education that the employer considers relevant, for example a degree in social work. Additionally, you have good knowledge of the laws governing the operational area. Previous experience in a leadership position within healthcare and care is a merit. Previous experience working with the Lifecare management system as well as knowledge in scheduling/planning is also a merit. As a leader, you recognize the importance of being a role model and with your coaching leadership style, you lead, inspire, and motivate your employees and create engagement and participation. Since a large part of the job involves collaboration with others, you possess good cooperation and communication skills. Furthermore, you need to be able to make quick decisions when necessary, prioritize, and act in the best interest of the operations. You should also have an interest in digitalization and technical solutions. Systematic work environment efforts are important to us and should be to you as well. A driver's license (at least class B) is important but not decisive. Terms You are offered varied and challenging work that requires you to be flexible, responsible, engaged, and responsive to the needs of the operations and employees. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, your leadership qualities, and your commitment to the operations.
