You are the manager of Corporate Taxation Unit 7 at the Corporate Taxation Department. The unit serves two target groups: associations and foundations, as well as excise taxes. Excise taxes are characterized by a rapid pace of change where taxes are introduced, modified, or phased out continuously. The unit participates in the entire chain from legislative proposals, implementation, case handling, control and information efforts, to court proceedings. The unit also handles corporate taxation and the Swedish Tax Agency's switchboard. You are part of the department's management group and report to the department manager. The unit has approximately 220 employees and we operate in 9 locations. You lead 11 section managers, and your placement will be in one of the locations where we conduct corporate taxation work: Gothenburg, Ludvika, Mariestad, Malmö, Sundbyberg, Uppsala, Västervik, Västerås, or Örebro. About you To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be receptive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In your work, sound judgment and understanding of legal security and safety are important. You must also adhere to our employee policy. In this role, you should: - Have the ability to see the whole picture with a focus on customer value - Have the ability to create the right conditions based on your understanding of operations and mission - Have the ability to act consciously in your daily work based on strong self-awareness - Be able to manage and analyze information flows, identify connections, set boundaries, and communicate information - Have the ability to communicate clearly and create an environment where we listen to each other You should also have: - University education of 180 credits (120 credits) in economics or law - At least five years of current management experience in taxation operations Good to know The position is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Within the Swedish Tax Agency, we apply management mandates of up to five years, with the possibility of extension in periods of up to three years, with no limit on the number of extensions. Employment with us may involve classification in a security class. A security clearance with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision.
