Unit Manager, Corporate Tax

You are the manager of the Corporate Tax Unit 7 at the Corporate Tax Department. The unit serves two target groups: associations and foundations, as well as excise taxes. Excise taxes are characterized by rapid change, with taxes being continuously introduced, modified, or discontinued. The unit participates in the entire chain from legislative proposals, implementation, handling, control and information efforts, to court review. The unit also includes corporate taxation and the Swedish Tax Agency switchboard. You are part of the department's management team and report to the Department Manager. The unit has approximately 220 employees across 9 locations. You lead 11 section managers, and your placement will be at one of the locations where we have corporate tax operations: Gothenburg, Ludvika, Mariestad, Malmö, Sundbyberg, Uppsala, Västervik, Västerås, or Örebro. About you To do well and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In your work, sound judgment and understanding of legal security and safety are important. You must also live up to our employee policy. In this role, you should: - Have the ability to see the whole picture with a focus on customer value - Have the ability to create the right conditions based on your understanding of operations and mission - Have the ability to act deliberately in your day-to-day work based on good self-awareness - Be able to manage and analyze information flows, identify connections, define boundaries, and communicate information - Have the ability to communicate clearly and create an environment where we listen to each other You should also have: - University education of 180 credits (120 points) in economics or law - At least five years of current management experience within taxation operations Good to know The position is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Within the Swedish Tax Agency, we apply management appointments for up to five years, with the possibility of extension in periods of no more than three years, without any limit on the number of extensions. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision.
