Help us make society possible! About the job As a manager and leader at the Swedish Tax Agency, you oversee the big picture, create conditions, and act deliberately in your daily work. You will be the manager of the Corporate Taxation Unit 7 at the Corporate Taxation Department. The unit serves two target groups: associations and foundations, as well as excise taxes. Excise taxes are characterized by rapid change, with taxes continuously being introduced, modified, or discontinued. The unit participates in the entire chain from legislative proposals, implementation, handling, control and information initiatives, to court proceedings. This unit also includes corporate taxation and the Swedish Tax Agency's main switchboard. You are part of the department's management group and report to the Department Manager. The unit has approximately 220 employees located at 9 different sites. You will lead 11 section managers, and your placement will be at one of the locations where we have corporate taxation operations: Gothenburg, Ludvika, Mariestad, Malmö, Sundbyberg, Uppsala, Västervik, Västerås, or Örebro. About you To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In your work, sound judgment and understanding of legal security and safety are important. You should also comply with our employee policy. In this role, you should: have the ability to see the whole picture with a focus on customer value have the ability to create the right conditions based on your understanding of operations and mission have the ability to act deliberately in your daily work based on good self-awareness be able to manage and analyze information flows, see connections, set boundaries, and communicate information have the ability to communicate clearly and create an environment where we listen to each other You should also have: university degree of 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics or law at least five years of current management experience within taxation operations Good to know The employment is permanent and may begin with a probationary period of six months. Within the Swedish Tax Agency, we apply management assignments for up to five years, with the possibility of extension in periods of at most three years, without limit to the number of extensions. Employment with us may involve placement in a security clearance class. A security vetting with record check in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision. For some of our work tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
