We are now seeking a unit manager who wants to lead and develop operations where early and preventive interventions, collaboration, and long-term solutions are at the center. YOUR ROLE As unit manager, you are responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Center Against Violence, family counseling, and the social services' participation in Skellefteå's family centers. You lead, follow up, and develop the operations with responsibility for personnel, work environment, finances, and quality. You and another unit manager together are responsible for different parts of the prevention unit and work closely together in the joint development work. You are part of the management group for child and youth services and work together with other managers to develop individual and family care services based on the social welfare board's goals. The assignment involves both creating good conditions for employees in their daily work and driving development that strengthens preventive work in the long term. An important part of the role is collaboration. You lead cooperation between the municipality, region, and other operations within, among other things, the Center Against Violence and the family centers. You are also part of the management group for the family centers and in steering and collaboration groups with several different professions. By creating good relationships and coordinating different expertise, you contribute to people receiving the right support at the right time. YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer considers equivalent, such as nursing or psychology. You have leadership ability and create engagement, clarity, and direction. With trust-based leadership, you motivate your employees, lead change and improvement work, and build an operation where quality and residents' needs are in focus. To succeed, you need to be structured, confident, and analytical. You also have an easy time building trust, collaborating, and getting people to work toward common goals. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. It is meritorious if you have experience with management assignments with personnel, operational, and financial responsibility. We would also like to see that you have experience with preventive social work, for example, in activities aimed at children, parents, domestic violence, or family counseling. If you have not yet worked in this area, we would like to see that you have a genuine interest in preventive work and want to contribute to its continued development. It is also meritorious if you have experience collaborating with other principals or organizations where you together are responsible for joint assignments and goals.
