We are seeking an engaged and development-oriented unit manager who wants to lead and develop our operations within employment services, integration, and financial assistance. This position offers an opportunity to shape the work based on activity requirements within financial assistance and the transition that follows the new social services act.
About the Position
As a unit manager, you are responsible for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment within the unit. You lead the operations with a focus on quality, legal certainty, and development, and work actively to create conditions for residents to achieve financial independence, participation, and self-sufficiency.
The unit is facing an exciting development journey where new working methods and collaborative forms need to continue evolving. The decided activity requirement within financial assistance will place increased demands on coordination between employment services, authority operations, and external collaboration partners.
You will lead change and development work in close collaboration with employees, other managers, the Swedish Public Employment Service, educational activities, the business sector, civil society, and other key stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and monitor the unit's goals, quality, and results.
Manage budget, operations planning, and resource allocation.
Personnel responsibility for the unit's employees.
Drive the development of operations.
Ensure implementation of activity requirements within financial assistance.
Develop collaboration between the employment services unit, integration, and financial assistance, as well as other units within the administration and municipality.
Work strategically to strengthen individuals' path to financial independence.
We Are Looking for You If You
Have a university degree in social work, behavioral science, social science, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
Have experience in management or leadership roles within public sector operations.
Have good knowledge of social services' mandate and authority operations.
Have a strong ability to create collaboration and build trusting relationships.
Are clear, structured, and results-oriented.
Have strong commitment to social sustainability and people's opportunity for financial independence.
It is meritorious if you have experience with employment issues, integration, and financial assistance.
