The Role of Unit Manager In your daily work as unit manager at child and youth health, you lead a work team consisting of occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, physicians, nurses, special educators, and administrative healthcare staff, approximately 20 people in total. You are part of the management group for the child and youth unit where you work together with other managers, activity developers, and the medically responsible physician to develop the service strategically and create good results. You work closely with other actors and collaboration partners to provide the best possible care for those we are here to serve. You report directly to the operations manager and have responsibility for operations, personnel, finances, and work environment. In your work, you have support from, among others, an HR partner, recruitment specialist, and controller. Your Future Workplace Our clinic is located in modern facilities in Huskvarna and serves children and young people from preschool class through age 17 with mild to moderate mental health issues. By taking a holistic perspective on the child's entire day, we can make a significant difference with short, targeted interventions such as counseling and parental support. We also offer internet-based treatment for young people. We work in teams where everyone is committed to continuously improving the service. We have extensive collaboration with schools and social services. Child and youth health in Huskvarna also works closely with corresponding clinics in Värnamo and Nässjö. Your Profile We are looking for someone who, with heart, drive, and commitment, together with competent colleagues and staff, wants to take on child and youth health's important and exciting mission. You have an academic education suitable for the position and it is desirable that you have experience working with children and young people in healthcare, social services, or school. Previous experience in leadership and/or management positions is seen as a positive. Since travel is part of the position, a driver's license is a requirement. As a person, you are confident and stable with good initiative. You are a clear leader with the ability to lead and motivate your staff and have the courage to make decisions. You are open to change and improvements and to developing new ways of working. You can communicate this and thereby create engagement and participation. Your attitude toward collaboration is positive, and you see the importance of utilizing everyone's competence within the unit to continuously improve care for our patients. You will be employed permanently in your basic profession with a fixed-term appointment as unit manager. Working hours are Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
