We are now seeking a unit manager for the Social Services Department's unit - Authority for Investigation of Children and Youth. As our new management colleague, you will be part of a team with two additional unit managers within the Authority. The positive and driven management group consists of a total of 6 managers, 3 in the Authority and 3 in Health and Medical Care, and forms the management group led by an operational manager. We are located in Vaggeryd on Storgatan 47, a stone's throw from the station, which offers good commuting options by both bus and train and carpooling. We will move to the newly renovated Skillingehus in Skilllingard in approximately 3 years. Commuting options are also good here. The work team consists of 8 social workers, of which one senior and one first social worker. We want to contribute to positive changes in people's lives. Job Responsibilities Lead and develop operations based on legislation, political goals, and departmental governance. Create conditions for sustainable employment relationships and trustworthy leadership. Ensure legally secure case management and documentation in accordance with applicable legislation. Drive and follow up on quality and development work within the operational area. Manage the operation's budget and resource planning. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to the department's strategic development together with other managers. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience in authority work within the children and youth field. Good knowledge of current legislation. Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Experience leading employees, projects, or operations, or previous management positions are advantageous. You have a strong commitment to children and young people's best interests. With present and trust-based leadership, you create conditions for engaged employees, a good work environment, and high-quality services for children, young people, and their families. You are clear in your communication and create structure so that expectations are clear for the work team. Being a present manager is something you care about.
