In the transition process based on the new Social Services Act, the unit offers exciting team collaborations with the Family Support Unit in crime prevention work with children and youth, as well as in a newly started project regarding early coordinated interventions in preschool. At Children and Youth in Stenungsund Municipality, you will become part of an experienced and dedicated work group with close support, high competence, and a strong focus on development. The municipal office is centrally located in Stenungsund with proximity to train and bus stations for commuters and access to parking for drivers. The municipal office is right on the waterfront next to the guest harbor, and nearby there is a wide selection of shops and lunch restaurants. JOB DUTIES As a social worker in the unit for children and youth ages 0-20, you work with children and young people as well as their families and networks. The unit is divided into two investigation groups with 6 social workers and one senior social worker each, as well as a reception unit with four social workers and one senior social worker. Collaboration between the groups and their senior social workers is close. We hold team meetings both with the full group and in the smaller group to maintain the sense of unity while also having the smaller setting for case discussions and similar matters. We work with reception weeks, where one investigation group receives new investigations for two weeks and then has time to work on ongoing cases for the following two weeks, while the other investigation group receives new investigations. We are implementing Signs of Safety and have contracted with a trainer who will support us in this process during 2026-2028. We offer you varied and enjoyable work in a dedicated work group with extensive experience and high competence in the field. Most colleagues have more than five years of experience in child and youth authority work, and among the senior social workers there is many years of experience in management. It is a unit that cares for one another and where laughter comes easily. For us as a work group, it is important to interact with respect for the individual's integrity and participation as well as with good legal certainty. We work on developing cooperation to best meet our clients' needs. In our work environment efforts, we actively work on support for handling the psychologically demanding aspects of the work. There is an opportunity to work from home 1 day/week depending on what works for the operations. QUALIFICATIONS We believe you thrive in a daily environment where you can combine independent responsibility with close collaboration. You have a respectful approach, value legal certainty and participation, and want to contribute to good cooperation both internally and externally. As an applicant, you need to have a degree in social work (socionom) or other education deemed equivalent by the employer according to HSLF-FS 2017:79 to be eligible for work in the unit. Experience as a social worker in Children and Youth or another unit within social services is meritorious. The role requires that you hold a class B driver's license.
