SiS youth facility Bärby outside Uppsala receives non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial issues as well as criminality and substance abuse. We do this at special youth facilities and LVM homes throughout the country. SiS also administers closed youth care and finances research to develop care and treatment. SiS youth facility Bärby outside Uppsala receives non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial issues, criminality and substance abuse problems, sexually boundary-crossing behaviors, and boys with special supervision needs. The institution also has a reception and needs assessment unit. We now want to strengthen the institution with a committed nurse. The institution works based on a central quality unit with treatment secretaries and a health care organization consisting of nurses, psychologists, and consulting physicians. Organizationally, the nurse reports to the quality manager and has significant responsibility and influence over the youths' health care needs. Job Description As a temporary nurse at SiS youth facility Bärby, you collaborate with other professionals in an important societal mission contributing to change. With us, you are a support function for treatment staff regarding questions related to the youths' health care needs. The main areas of responsibility and work are medication management, health assessments, nursing interventions, and cooperation with both internal and external parties regarding health care in connection with admission, during care, and before discharge or transfer within SiS, as well as participation in the student health team. Qualifications Licensed nurse with several years of experience. Experience with documentation and medical record writing Good knowledge of Swedish language Particularly relevant experience is work with young people in psychiatry, substance abuse, or student health services. It is important that you have an interest in working with youth with behavioral issues and that you are skilled at establishing collaboration with both young people and staff. You need good ability to plan and organize your work as well as the ability to prioritize your work based on emerging needs. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We seek someone with high personal maturity, who is secure and stable. You communicate clearly, are attentive and affirming in your interactions with young people.
