About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to a smooth-running everyday life. Each assistance is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. We are now seeking a confident, responsible, and committed personal assistant for a happy and active school-age boy living in central Malmö. The boy has autism and needs support in his daily life to create structure, security, and the opportunity to develop at his own pace. As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of his everyday life – a trusted adult who supports him in routines, play, and activities. The work involves being present as support in the boy's daily life, both at home and during various activities. No two days are the same, and you will work closely with the boy to create a safe and functioning everyday life. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, committed, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client. Your calmness, clarity, and ability to create security are crucial. You will become an important person who helps the boy understand his surroundings and feel safe in everyday life. We are looking for someone who is warm, stable, and engaged – and who enjoys a role where you make a real difference. For this position, you must: • have a driver's license (category B) • be fluent in English as the family communicates in English • be a non-smoker • be calm, confident, and patient • be responsible and attentive • be organized and clear • be interested in working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders For this position, it is advantageous if you: • have experience working with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities • have experience with alternative communication, e.g., visual supports You will, among other things, help with: • personal hygiene, such as showering and brushing teeth, dressing and undressing • meals and daily routines • creating structure and clarity in everyday life • preventive support during stress and challenging situations • play, activities, and social training • supervision and safe presence Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment level of approximately 50%. Work shifts are scheduled for daytime and evening on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are varied: 4:30 PM–9:00 PM and 5:00 PM–8:30 PM on weekdays, and 9:00 AM–5:30 PM/6:00 PM on weekends. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start date September 14, 2026, or by agreement.
