Dedicated and Driven Childcare Worker Needed

We are seeking a dedicated and driven childcare worker Workplace Description We are a small unit located in Vasastan in central Stockholm. Förskolan Strutsen is a personnel cooperative run by dedicated and curious educators with high ambitions. The educators have significant influence over the operations and all decisions are made at the activity level. We constantly strive to offer all children a challenging and stimulating environment. The preschool has 60 children distributed across three groups. We use these three groups as a basis when children are divided into smaller project groups that we work with most of the day. We always aim to provide both children and educators with a good working environment and for educators to be responsible for as few children as possible. There are 4 or 5 children per educator depending on the child's age. The operations are conducted in beautiful, spacious premises of 650 square meters with large windows and outdoors the children have access to a playground directly adjacent to the preschool, which provides opportunities for fantastic educational activities. Our chef cooks meals from scratch using a large portion of organic ingredients. The preschool has achieved good results in both user surveys and in Stockholm City's quality indicators which we use in our systematic quality work. At Förskolan Strutsen we work exploratively in projects both indoors and outdoors. The children's interests, experiences, and knowledge are the starting point for project work. With the help of thoughtfully designed and challenging educational environments, adapted to the children's age and needs, we want to give children the opportunity for interaction, creativity, learning, influence, and responsibility. Job Description As a childcare worker with us you will work in a team with an experienced preschool teacher and two experienced childcare workers. We want you to have a professional approach and be engaged in planning, implementation, and follow-up of the educational activities, and that this occurs in accordance with the goals and guidelines in the Education Act, activity plan, and other governing documents. You participate in pedagogical development work and pedagogical documentation according to the preschool's curriculum. Together with your colleagues you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developmental environment for each child and for the entire group. You contribute with a positive attitude at parent meetings and development conversations. In daily contact with guardians you are engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a childcare worker and who is curious about children's development and learning. It is a merit if you have work experience from preschool and experience with documentation. You have a clear child-focused approach and a positive attitude toward your work and your team as well as toward the entire preschool. It is important that you have a respectful approach and the ability to create professional relationships with both children, guardians, and colleagues. You collaborate in a responsive and flexible way and listen, communicate, and handle conflicts in a constructive manner. Qualities we appreciate in candidates for this position are curiosity, engagement, positive thinking, and good teamwork skills. This position is a part-time role of approximately 38 hours per week.
