Praktiska Gymnasiet Bromma is a school near Alvik centrum with excellent workshops where students learn through both theory and practice. As an Erasmus+ certified school, we offer students and staff the opportunity to seek internships and job shadowing in other European countries. We have over 200 students whom we want to provide with the best possible education—and now we need an English teacher who wants to work with us for just over a year. Are you a certified English teacher with a special interest in vocational education? If you also have a passion for special education and reading development, you might be the person we're looking for! You are expected to work closely with your subject colleagues and the school's special education teacher. In this role, you will also collaborate with the school's vocational teachers and the student support team (EHT): As part of new requirements for school libraries, we are in the process of renovating and expanding our library. Initially, we plan to staff the library with our certified teachers. In other words, the position may also include scheduled library hours a few hours each week. This is a substitute position running through at least June 2027 with a start as soon as possible. It is very likely that the position will be extended through the 2027/2028 school year. In that regard, it would be desirable if you have certification in mathematics or natural sciences. If you have work experience and/or education in any of the professions we train for, we consider that a merit. Requirements and Personal Qualities Certified teacher with certification to teach English. Knowledge of special education and language development. Personal maturity and cultural awareness. Merits Certification to teach mathematics, natural sciences, or any of the vocational subjects we offer at the school. Experience working in a school library.
