About Us Solrosbacken HVB is a small family-friendly facility located in Åled, just outside Halmstad. Solrosbacken specializes in receiving girls with norm-breaking behavior, ages 13-17, who are in unsuitable environments such as those who have committed isolated crimes, experimented with drugs, or display threatening behavior. We are here to help when youth need to be removed from their current situation. These can be situations where the young person's development and health are at risk. At Solrosbacken, our primary focus is for the young people to feel safe and have a well-functioning and meaningful daily life. The purpose of staying at Solrosbacken is to support the young person in creating good relationships with their surroundings and receive support in all change processes related to their treatment. This also means creating conditions for continued schooling, strengthening the child's skills, and establishing a functioning everyday life. The facility's structure promotes a normalized daily rhythm, good eating habits, and social functioning. At Solrosbacken, we work to ensure children feel safe and engaged in their treatment by actively participating in their planning so that after the treatment period, they can take the next step forward in life. The facility operates with high participation in daily life where children's opinions, wishes, and interests are received and accommodated as much as possible. We view the young person's family and any other support network as an important resource in treatment. Therefore, we work to involve family/guardians in the change process, often with weekly conversations. The goal is for them to receive support and understanding so they can meet, manage, and support the young person's development.
