The Internal Medicine department is a broad operation with approximately 450 employees that encompasses many diagnoses, medical conditions, and treatments. Internal Medicine in Gävle consists of six divisions: Medical Acute Care Unit (MAVA), Stroke Unit/Clinic, Lung Unit/Clinic, Kidney/Hematology Unit and Clinic, Dialysis and Kidney Clinic, and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Internal Medicine Clinic.
At the Endocrinology Clinic, you will work alongside four dedicated specialist colleagues and teaching physicians as well as nursing staff. As the operation expands with increased patient flow and an aging population, we now want to further expand our physician team with an additional endocrinologist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a specialist physician, you will work largely independently on a remote basis within Sweden. Collaboration with other professions is simultaneously a central part of the role. Meetings in referral teams and discussions during rounds, where more complex cases are reviewed, also occur. Within our operation, we place high value on education and have a large group of highly skilled teaching physicians.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a newly qualified or experienced specialist in Endocrinology and Diabetology and who wishes to work remotely in a dynamic specialty at a well-sized county hospital, with close collaboration with the university clinic in Uppsala. You are results-oriented and driven to perform at a high level. You are confident, self-directed, and responsible in your professional role and are stimulated by developing the operation.
Since the work involves close collaboration with other professions and a mentoring and educational role with younger colleagues, it is important that you have good teamwork skills, a good manner in dealing with others, and can communicate and listen in a constructive way.
Attached to the hospital is CFUG (Center for Research and Development Gävleborg), with academic connections to Uppsala University. CFUG allocates research time and research grants to permanent employees in the region, both doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers.
In the role of specialist physician, you must have
• physician license
• specialist competence in Endocrinology and Diabetology.
Specialist training in Internal Medicine is meritorious.
