About the Position Montice in Katrineholm is now recruiting, on behalf of Elprojekt Mälardalen, an experienced electrical design engineer. The company's clients are from both public and private sectors, including property owners, municipalities, industries, and contractors. Using modern CAD and BIM tools and extensive industry experience, they deliver technically thorough documents of high quality. You'll be part of a growing company with short decision-making processes and high technical expertise, where you work closely with both customers and colleagues and have significant responsibility. The role involves driving projects from early stages through finished building documents and implementation. Projects include residential buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, commercial properties, and industrial facilities, including some security-classified operations. Job Description As an electrical design engineer, you're responsible for the design and technical implementation of electrical and building technical systems and installations. Your tasks may include: • Design of electrical installations for high and low voltage, lighting installations, telecommunications, data and security systems, building automation, and control and monitoring systems • Development of technical descriptions according to AMA EL • Power calculations and sizing of electrical installations and creation of single-line diagrams • Coordination with other technical disciplines such as HVAC, controls, and building • Management of changes, design issues, and change order work • Participation in design meetings, inspections, and technical coordination meetings • Technical consulting to clients and contractors We're Looking for You You are self-driven, solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in technology. You enjoy customer contact and feel confident in the role of consultant and designer. We'd like you to have: • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design for residential and commercial properties • Post-secondary education in electrical power, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience • Good knowledge of AMA EL and construction contract law • Experience with BIM design in AutoCAD with MagiCAD • Ability to independently develop technical descriptions • Class B driver's license • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Swedish citizenship and ability to undergo security vetting Meritorious • Experience in industrial design and power supply • Experience with building automation, control and monitoring systems • Knowledge of KNX, DALI, BACnet, Modbus, or similar systems • Experience with energy monitoring and technical building systems • Certified construction site inspector • Knowledge of Febdok or equivalent calculation software and Revit • Background as an electrician or installation technician* Elprojekt Mälardalen AB is a specialized electrical consulting firm with extensive expertise in electrical design, telecommunications and security systems, lighting, building automation, and inspections.
