About the Position Montico in Katrineholm is now recruiting, on behalf of Elprojekt Mälardalen, an experienced electrical designer. The company's clients are found in both the public and private sectors, such as property owners, municipalities, industries, and contractors. Using modern CAD and BIM tools combined with extensive industry experience, they deliver technically thorough documentation of high quality. You will become part of a growing company with short decision-making processes and high technical expertise, where you work closely with both customers and colleagues and receive considerable responsibility. The role involves managing projects from early stages through to completed construction documents and implementation. Projects include residential buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, commercial properties, and industry, including certain security-classified operations. Job Description As an electrical designer, you are responsible for design and technical development of electrical and building technical systems and installations. Your work tasks may include: • Design of electrical installations for power and low-voltage systems, lighting installations, telecommunications, data and security systems, building automation, and control and monitoring systems • Preparation of technical descriptions in accordance with AMA EL • Power calculations and dimensioning of electrical installations and preparation of single-line diagrams • Coordination with other technical disciplines such as HVAC, controls, and building • Management of changes, design questions, and change order work • Participation in design meetings, inspections, and technical coordination meetings • Technical consulting to clients and contractors We are Looking for You You are self-directed, solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in technology. You are comfortable with customer contact and feel confident in the role as a consultant and designer. We would like to see that you have: • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design for residential and commercial properties • Post-secondary education in electrical power, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience • Good knowledge of AMA EL and contract law • Experience with BIM design in AutoCAD with MagiCAD • Ability to independently prepare technical descriptions • Class B driver's license • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Swedish citizenship and the ability to undergo security clearance Meritorious • Experience in design within industry and power supply • Experience with building automation, control, and monitoring systems • Knowledge of KNX, DALI, BACnet, Modbus, or similar systems • Experience with energy monitoring and technical building systems • Certified construction inspector • Knowledge of Febdok or equivalent calculation software and Revit • Background as an electrician or installation technician* Elprojekt Mälardalen AB is a specialized electrical consulting firm with broad expertise in electrical design, telecommunications and security systems, lighting, building automation, and inspections.
