Now we are looking for several experienced Electrical Design Engineers who want to help build tomorrow's maintenance operations! We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest investments ever – a historic mobilization to build stronger, more resilient and entirely internal capacity for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. At a time when the world is placing ever higher demands on robustness and reliability, we are taking decisive steps to ensure an electricity grid that can handle difficult conditions and delivers when needed most. About the Role As an electrical power design engineer with a focus on substations and control equipment, you are a key person in our reinvestment projects within the electricity grid 0.4–400 kV. You drive the design from requirements and technical decisions to detailed design, procurement documentation and completed documentation. The work is carried out mainly together with our own maintenance organization, which means you have close dialogue with those who will build, test and operate the facility. In this role you also ensure that working environment and safety are considered at all stages from design choices and work preparations to implementation and handover. Your main tasks and areas of responsibility: Develop and quality assure design documentation (single-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, connection tables, assembly documentation and layouts/cabinet layouts) Prepare technical descriptions and documentation and provide technical support during implementation Ensure that the design meets requirements, standards and internal guidelines and contribute to technical decisions and solution discussions Drive the documentation all the way to handover, including updates and as-built documentation after construction/commissioning Coordinate and set requirements for contractors/suppliers in the parts of the projects where external resources are used When necessary, work with protective relays/IED and communication in substation environment, for example IEC 61850 and support related to substation networks Requirements Specification We are looking for someone who is analytical and enjoys working with complex technical issues. You have good collaboration skills, like to share your expertise and contribute to the team as a whole. At the same time, you are responsible, drive your tasks to completion and are comfortable asking for support when needed. We would like you to have: Post-secondary education in electrical power/electrical engineering (university/civil engineer degree) or equivalent experience-based competence Experience with electrical power design in a project environment Experience in creating design documentation: single-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, connection tables, assembly documentation and layouts/cabinet layouts Good CAD skills Structured and quality-conscious, takes responsibility for technical deliverables and enjoys working with many stakeholders Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Class B driver's license Merits: Experience from distribution projects/substations and control facilities.
