Job Description We at AFRY in Gothenburg are now seeking an electrical design engineer who will become a key person in our projects. You will work with automation solutions for industries and other customers where you ensure electrical design needs from initial concept to completed installation. As an electrical design engineer, you will be a central part of our assignments, sometimes throughout the entire project process – from pre-sales support to commissioning – and sometimes as a specialist in specific parts of ongoing projects. The work is varied, with both longer assignments that provide continuity and shorter engagements in different projects. You will primarily work from our office on Grafiska Vägen, but assignments may also involve working at the customer's site or remotely. In this role, you are expected to take a leading position and have full responsibility for electrical design, commissioning, and documentation. You will be an important mentor for our junior colleagues and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. With us, you will receive support through AFRY's competence forum, where you can exchange experiences with senior engineers and develop your own expertise. Looking ahead, we see that system development will continue to change, which means you will have the opportunity to work with new platforms and environments. The role may in the future also involve classified security assignments. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is engaged, curious, and interested in technology. You have: Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field Several years of experience in electrical design within industrial automation Strong knowledge of CAD tools such as Eplan and/or ElproCad Driver's license (Category B) as travel to customer sites is part of the role Very good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is advantageous if you have experience with electrical cabinet design, machine safety and estimation work, as well as knowledge of dimensioning and selectivity plans and experience with multiple CAD tools.
