The school is located in Lilla Alby in central Sundbyberg with proximity to tram, bus, subway, and commuter train. The school consists of two school buildings, the red house and the white house. We have functional rooms for, among other things, art, music, home economics, and a school library. Our recreation centers have partly separate facilities designed for recreation center activities. The white house schoolyard, grades F-2, is designed to encourage play and is well-suited for younger grades. The red house schoolyard, grades 3-6 and recreation time, has a multi-court suitable for various ball sports. The direct proximity to Tuvanparken is a great asset for active recess and recreation activities. At Lilla Alby School, you will work alongside dedicated colleagues who want to drive school and recreation development with the goal of making Lilla Alby School the obvious choice for both students and educators in preschool, school, and recreation centers. Priority areas include municipal-wide work with Accessible Learning in school and recreation, as well as the local movement initiative PulsSprintGo with, among other things, active recess. We are now seeking 1 student support worker/recreation staff member for middle school. Work as a student support worker primarily involves supporting individual students throughout the school day, in lessons, during transitions, at recess, and in recreation activities. As a student support worker, your task is to help our students both socially and academically. You will work individually with one or several students in class and in recreation activities. You will work together in a team consisting of a responsible mentor and educators. Work tasks vary, which provides variety in your work. We are looking for someone who: Has several years of experience working with children and youth with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD). Has relevant education in NPD. Has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you have: Other pedagogical education. Education within special education. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches. Fundamentally, you enjoy working with children in need of special support. You have the ability to create good relationships with students. You are a trustworthy, confidence-building adult and a good role model. You are engaged, flexible, patient, and have a calm, pedagogical, solution-focused approach. You also have good collaboration skills, are responsive, and find it easy to communicate and cooperate with students, colleagues, and guardians to achieve set goals. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. The position is a full-time temporary contract for the 2026/2027 school year. The application deadline is August 5.
