DUTIES As a student support assistant with us, you'll be an important part of the school's work in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students. You work closely with teachers, student services, and other staff to provide support and guidance to a student throughout the school day, with the goal of promoting the student's learning, development, and participation in school activities. In this role, you follow and support the student in various teaching situations, during breaks, and during transitions between activities. You help create structure, predictability, and study focus, and assist the student in developing social skills and independence. Through a relational and professional approach, you work to strengthen the student's sense of security, motivation, and ability to reach their goals. The work also includes actively participating in the school's values and safety initiatives. You work to foster positive relationships between students and contribute to a positive school environment where everyone feels seen, respected, and included. In close collaboration with teachers and the student services team, you participate in planning, implementing, and following up on accommodations and support measures based on the student's needs. As a student support assistant, you need to be attentive, flexible, and solution-focused, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Together we work to give each student the best conditions to succeed in school and develop according to their own circumstances. This position is a fixed-term employment at 100% capacity until June 30, 2027. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you with experience working with children and students in a school environment and with a genuine commitment to supporting students' learning, development, and well-being. You have a strong ability to create safe relationships and build trust with students, guardians, and colleagues. Through a calm, clear, and attentive approach, you can meet students' different needs and adjust your support based on the situation and individual. As a person, you are flexible and solution-focused, with the ability to handle both planned and unexpected situations in a professional manner. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks while recognizing the value of close collaboration with colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment. You have a relational approach and see cooperation as an important success factor in creating the best conditions for the student's development. It is a merit if you have pedagogical education or other education that the employer considers relevant for the task. We also view positively experience working with students in need of special support, as well as knowledge of and experience with low-arousal approaches. If you have previously worked creating structures, accommodations, and inclusive learning environments for students with different needs, that's an advantage. We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who shares the school's values and has a strong commitment to contributing to a safe, accessible, and developing school environment where each student is given the opportunity to succeed. It is a statutory requirement to provide a certificate from the criminal record registry. You have good computer skills and experience using IT when supporting students in teaching. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: As soon as possible.
