NTI Gymnasiet in Umeå is a cozy, small school with four programs (EE, ES, FS, and TE) located in central Umeå above Utopia. Our students learn extensively about future challenges and how we can address them using new technology. We are now seeking a student support assistant for a second-year student in the technology program who requires individualized special support. Your responsibilities: Create structure and provide pedagogical support for an individual student by making instruction more accessible and understandable, and help the student maintain focus to achieve course objectives. The work involves close collaboration with teaching staff and a special education teacher. About you: You are a confident and stable adult with the ability to build positive relationships with all types of students. You are positive, engaged, and prefer to focus on possibilities rather than challenges. You are accustomed to collaborating with others and should be comfortable using digital tools commonly used in schools. It is also advantageous if you have strong knowledge of mathematics and physics, as these courses form an important part of the program. We seek an engaged person who shares our values and wants to contribute to continuous improvements to reach our goals. We place great importance on your personal suitability. You should have experience working with young people with special needs, and it is meritorious if you have post-secondary education in areas such as pedagogy.
