Substitute student resource in preschool class at Ånge Elementary School. Our municipality, and therefore our operations, are growing and we need more educators. In the education department, we work according to the red thread, a shared view of development and learning with a democratic foundation in all our operations. In Ånge Municipality, we train all our staff in neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) to NPD-proof our operations, we train all staff in mental training as well as in what a language and knowledge development approach (SKUA) is and entails. At Ånge Elementary School, we are seeking a science teacher for the autumn term 2026. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a resource in the classroom and at the after-school center before and after school hours. As a resource in the classroom, you support students in their learning during lessons led by teachers. You participate during students' breaks where you support students in conflict management, turn-taking, and social interaction. At the after-school center, you ensure students feel secure during indoor and outdoor activities. You share pedagogical meals and participate in/lead activities based on the after-school center's governing documents. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is patient and confident in yourself, who has experience supporting and leading children and young people. We are seeking a person who has the ability to build good relationships with children, young people, and other adults. If you have previous experience working with children, that is a merit. You are positive and solution-focused, flexible and cooperative, calm and patient. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. About the Operation Ånge Elementary School consists of two buildings but is one school, Björken (Preschool/Preschool Class, Grades 1-5) and Ugglan (Grades 6-9). Ånge Elementary School currently has approximately 370 students. The principals share a common ambition to lead and distribute work at the schools based on trust and confidence. We have high expectations both of ourselves and of each employee. Ånge Elementary School is organized with teaching teachers as well as teacher resources, schoolyard teachers, and a student welfare team. The schoolyard teachers work at the after-school center in the afternoons; during the school day they are safety personnel and classroom resources. The schoolyard teachers offer organized break activities during students' breaks. The student welfare team includes counselors, school nurses, special educators, career counselors, and principals; we also have access to a school psychologist and speech-language pathologist. Each week, the student welfare team participates in student welfare meetings (EHM) with work teams and in student welfare team meetings (EHT). We collaborate with Social Services, the Child and Youth Center, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), Rehabilitation Services, health centers, Police, and others. The school is located in Ånge center, which means we are within walking distance to an ice rink, football fields, athletics track, riding school, disc golf, outdoor gym, multisport arena, gym, lit ski trail, forest, green areas, hiking trails, bathing area, library, people's house/community center with cinema, theater workshop, music school/cultural school, municipal building, train and bus station, and several shops, restaurants, and cafés. We have good opportunities for collaboration with businesses and community organizations. We have good commuting options by train from both Östersund and Sundsvall, within walking distance to the school. Your employment is within education in Ånge Municipality.
