Work tasks As a teaching assistant at Uddevalla Upper Secondary School, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students in their learning and personal development. You will work closely with students alongside teachers and other staff to create a positive and safe learning environment. Your work tasks will include: Provide direct support to students with special needs. Create safety for the student and other students. Support students in social interactions and offer guidance and support in conflict situations. Anticipate and redirect difficult situations. We are looking for someone who is confident as a person and acts with low affectivity in challenging situations. The assignments are directed toward vocational programs and are conducted mostly in workshop environments where students receive instruction. You have a genuine interest in supporting young people and contributing to their development. We are looking for three teaching assistants at Uddevalla Upper Secondary School who have a good ability to build relationships and establish trust with students. You are both confident and flexible when circumstances change. You are proactive and have a good ability to redirect situations that become too challenging for students. Having experience working with young people who have difficulties in school for various reasons is an advantage. Since students need support in a workshop environment, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required to understand the teacher's instructions and help students progress in their work.
