Your duties Working as a student assistant means you will support students throughout their entire day with us. This requires genuine interest and a deeper understanding of students' needs. You will support students by adapting instruction based on the teacher's planning and help in social situations. Students need support in practicing daily tasks, participating in various recess activities, in changing rooms, restroom visits, meals, transitions, field trips, and more. In our activities, we work with low-arousal approaches. Respectful care is essential in all situations. You will work closely with teaching staff, which means you receive instructions and collaborate on how work is performed. Your role includes maintaining close contact and collaboration with other school staff and external professionals involved with students. Contact with guardians is part of your role. After school, you work at the after-school program where we strive to offer students meaningful leisure time, balancing fun and developmental activities with time for recovery and rest. All tailored to students' needs. One position is a permanent employment and one position is a fixed-term employment during fall term 2026 with potential for extension. Your qualifications You have completed secondary education with a diploma. You need experience working in adapted primary school or similar roles with children and young people, for example in LSS activities or SUND activities. Experience with and knowledge of working with children with intellectual disabilities and autism is an advantage. Knowledge of TAKK and AKK is a major plus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, strong collaboration skills, communication ability, and the ability to build good relationships, as the work involves many contact points with students, staff, and guardians. You have an open, responsive, and problem-solving approach. You are self-directed and organized and enjoy independently completing tasks. You are flexible and can easily adapt your approach to new circumstances. Other information Ranagård School is located in the newly built residential area Ranagård and is an adapted primary school for grades 1-9 with 46 students; there is also a grades F-9 primary school with 800 students, a youth meeting place after school, and a combined school and public library. The school opened in fall term 2024. Adapted primary school is an educational track for students who, due to an intellectual disability, are not assessed to have the capacity to complete their education in mainstream primary school. Our driving force is to do what is best for students in all situations. We live by Ranagård School's vision to become the best possible school for our students. Becoming the best possible school requires a commitment to continuous development and learning—as individuals and together. The best possible school requires a high degree of professionalism and collaboration among all staff. This places considerable demands on us as professionals.
