WORK TASKS About Frida's Garden At Frida's Garden, we believe children develop best when they meet adults who both care and set high expectations. We are a preschool through grade 5 school with after-school care and an adapted primary school in beautiful Tjörn. Around 200 students meet our dedicated staff each morning, working together to create a sense of security, good study conditions, and a desire to learn. We are a school where it should be easy to know what applies to students, guardians, and staff. We believe structure creates security and that security creates the conditions for learning. We are now seeking a student assistant for our adapted primary school. The role involves working closely with students with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, in close collaboration with teachers, student support services, and other staff. As a student assistant, you work on behalf of the responsible teacher and help create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment throughout the school day. Work Tasks • Provide pedagogical and social support to students in teaching and other school situations • Support students in communication, structure, and independence • Work according to planning and instructions from the responsible teacher • Contribute to security, good study conditions, and a sustainable work environment • Participate in collaboration with colleagues and student support services • Follow school routines for safety, confidentiality, and conduct with our governing documents as support. QUALIFICATIONS As a student assistant, you work on behalf of the responsible teacher and provide pedagogical and social support to students with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. The role requires security, structure, and professional conduct. We are looking for someone who has: • Upper secondary education in the Child and Leisure Program or other education deemed equivalent by the employer • Experience working with students in need of special support • Knowledge of AAC, low-affect approaches, and clarifying pedagogy • Good Swedish, spoken and written We offer: • A clear organization and defined roles • Close collaboration with teachers and student support services • Present and clear leadership If you are offered employment within the Children and Education Administration, you are required according to the Education Act to present a certificate of good conduct from the Police Conduct Register.
