The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with close to 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student welfare—we are here for children and students, together shaping the future. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher's assistant with us, you have a meaningful assignment where the focus is on creating security and structure in the student's daily life. You are part of the school and after-school care community and work closely with students to promote their learning and social development. The role involves close collaboration with teachers and other staff to provide each student with the best possible support throughout the school day. Main responsibilities: • Support students both pedagogically and socially in various environments. • Be available during transitions, breaks, and lessons to create continuity and security. • Use a low-key approach and clarifying pedagogy to meet students in a professional manner. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you—a confident adult with the ability to build strong relationships where the student feels seen and understood. You have great patience and remain calm even in pressured situations, while being responsive and able to adjust your support when circumstances change. You have good collaborative skills and see it as a matter of course to work with other colleagues in the school team to create the best possible school day for the student. We are looking for you who: • Have a degree from the Child and Recreation Program, or training as a recreation leader, teacher's assistant, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. It is meritorious if you have: • Experience working with children or youth in need of support, preferably within NPF. • Experience working with children or youth who have diabetes. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3–6 months, start date: September 28, 2026. Start date by agreement, end date: December 18, 2026.
