Welcome to us Riksgymnasiet för rörelsehindrade offers students with extensive physical disabilities adapted upper secondary education with student assistance and rehabilitation services. We also offer student housing (student residence Kungsholmen) for students living outside Stockholm County. RGRH Stockholm offers smaller teaching groups at S:t Eriks gymnasium. Here you will find the social sciences program, aesthetic programs and an introductory program with individual options. Students can also choose to study other programs in larger classes at S:t Eriks gymnasium or another upper secondary school in Stockholm. Regardless of which program the student chooses, they receive support from our student assistants during lessons, breaks and lunch. S:t Eriks gymnasium is a large upper secondary school located on Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. Here you will find an exciting mix of both university preparatory programs and vocational programs where creativity and knowledge are at the center. The school has a diversity of educations, activities, nationalities and languages which makes it a fun and stimulating workplace for both students and staff. The school is LGBTQI-certified. Your role The student assistants' mission is to be there for the students' learning, development and care needs throughout the school day. Student assistants are available to students during lessons, breaks, lunches and, when needed, during rehabilitation sessions. Student assistants work closely with all professional groups at the school and collaborate daily with teachers and rehabilitation staff. The students are at the center of all efforts. Your competence and experience We are looking for an experienced assistant with the following qualifications: • Substantial and documented experience working with students who have extensive physical disabilities. • Experience with and proficiency in transfer and mobility techniques. • Good knowledge of epilepsy, neuropsychiatric conditions, acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. • Documented experience and good knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). • Very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. • Experience working in upper secondary school. You have qualifications and experience that the employer considers necessary for the position. You are responsive, flexible and have good communication with students, their guardians and your colleagues. You are experienced in working in complex situations and are able to collaborate easily with other student assistants, teachers, rehabilitation staff and other personnel.
