ABOUT THE JOB We are now seeking a student assistant for Hedlundaskolan with placement in the younger age groups, if required decisions are made. Hedlundaskolan is a small F-6 school with approximately 60 students and 8 staff members. The school is located in the Hedlunda area, approximately 7 kilometers outside central Lycksele along the Ume River. The school has a wonderful schoolyard with close access to forests and nature. It is also close to hockey rinks, football fields and lit ski trails. As a student assistant, you are a key person for students who need special support in their school life and you play an important role in supporting and promoting learning and well-being among our students. Your task is to create good conditions for student development and learning, as well as to provide security and structure in everyday life. You work closely with our teachers and function as a resource in the classroom while providing individual support to individual students. You work to create a positive and safe atmosphere in both the classroom and on the school grounds with the aim of achieving increased independence in the student and a reduced need for support from you as a student assistant. In cooperation with other staff at the school, you work to create the best conditions for students, guardians and colleagues to feel comfortable and safe in the school's activities. The assignment also includes work at the school's after-school center. YOUR PROFILE We believe in the right competence in the right place. We are looking for you who are trained as a social pedagogue or have equivalent education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage to have knowledge of neuropsychiatric functional limitations (NPF) and/or knowledge about type 1 diabetes. We are looking for you who puts the student in focus and who feel a great commitment to support and guide young people in school. It is important that you have good social skills and good conduct, towards both students and guardians as well as other professionals at the school.
