Description Bergsgården School is an F-6 primary school and adapted primary school grades 1-6. The school is located in Hjällbo with immediate proximity to natural areas and five minutes from the Hjällbo tram stop. The school is organized into 2 parallel classes with approximately 70 students in the adapted primary school grades 1-6. The school has an experienced student welfare team including a school nurse, counselor, special education teacher, and psychologist who provide continuous support. Bergsgården School is now seeking a teaching assistant for grades F-3 in the primary school. Job Responsibilities The position involves working both during school hours and at the after-school center with students from grades F-3. As a teaching assistant, you will participate in both pedagogical and social contexts with students at school and the after-school center. Together with your colleagues, you will create a meaningful, engaging, and varied school and after-school experience with pedagogical quality and students at the center. You are an active and important part of shaping and developing our learning environments. Work with us requires close collaboration with students' guardians, colleagues, and other external stakeholders who are important for students' health and development. The position also includes providing pedagogical support to students in the classroom alongside regular teachers. For after-school activities, you share responsibility for planning and implementing activities with other staff. Qualifications We are looking for someone with upper secondary education and further training in this field. You should also have at least 6 months of experience in the field. It is advantageous if you have experience working with children with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. As a person, you have the ability to work with others to accomplish tasks and reach goals. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role.
