Åsedaskolan is beautifully situated with the advantages of a smaller school. We have just minutes to nature, a nice lit cross-country ski trail, an ice hall, and large green spaces. The school has high teacher qualifications and many teachers have worked at the school for a long time. This fall we will have newly renovated facilities for woodwork and art, and a renovation of the music rooms is taking place this summer. The upper secondary grades have approximately 170 students divided into three parallel classes in each grade. The work is conducted in work teams with focus on the students' best interests. We also collaborate with Åsedaskolan F-6 which is located adjacent to the upper secondary school. A school nurse and counselor are on staff and together with special education teachers, the principal, and special educators participate in the school's student health team which meets once a week. The school has a safety team that meets regularly. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES Åsedaskolan 7-9 is seeking a teaching assistant who will primarily serve as a resource person for an individual student. You will support the student mainly during breaks but can also participate in lessons. The needs may vary from day to day. You collaborate with educators, students, and guardians and participate in planned meetings. The work may also involve carrying out other tasks that the activity requires, such as resolving conflicts or substituting for absent teachers as well as homework help. QUALIFICATIONS You are solution-focused and see possibilities, are flexible and a role model for all students, take own initiatives and enjoy collaborating. You are professional in your work role, take your adult responsibility, and are engaged. A requirement for doing good work is that you enjoy working with children/young people, and we would also like to see that you have experience working with children/young people. You have an easy time building good relationships and are not afraid to take own initiatives. You contribute to a good working environment in the workplace. The position is filled based on required decisions being made. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: As soon as possible after agreement, end date: 2026-12-18. Working hours: Daytime.
