Student Assistant at Adapted Primary School, Partille Municipality

Are you a pedagogical, confident, and flexible person? We have an assignment for you! We are now seeking a student assistant at an adapted primary school in Partille Municipality. You will work with students who have intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental diagnoses, and occasionally exhibit externalizing behaviors. As a student assistant, you will be with the student group during all moments of the school day. This may involve leading an activity, providing support during lessons, at recess, and in our after-school care activities. You work to stimulate and challenge students' development and learning, in close collaboration with special education teachers, after-school care teachers, and preschool teachers. The work is characterized by low-arousal interaction, explicit pedagogy, and alternative communication strategies. We have generous operating hours for our activities and your working hours involve opening at 6:00 AM on certain days and closing at 6:00 PM on other days. One evening per week you work until 6:30 PM. Qualifications We are looking for someone with upper secondary education from a children's and recreation program, special education support training, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. We see that you have work-related experience leading groups, knowledge of neurodevelopmental diagnoses, low-arousal interaction, and explicit pedagogy. You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing. The work is physically demanding; heavy lifting may occur, challenging and externalizing behaviors may happen, and occasionally high noise levels, which you need to be able to manage. It is a merit if you have knowledge of the school's governing documents, as you will be involved in planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on pedagogical activities together with the work team. Grades 1–5 at Öjersjö Brunn and grades 1-9 at Öjersjö Storegård. The schools are located in a very pleasant and expanding area with proximity to the city and nature, and only about 20 minutes by bus from Korsvägen in Gothenburg. We have a pleasant work environment in modern and functional facilities. We currently have 83 students in our growing operation with new students starting in fall 2026.
