About the Operation
Bodaskolan is a grades 7-9 school with an A-resource, a special teaching group attached to it. The school is a place where people from many different cultures meet. We work to ensure that everyone is given space, motivation, and the opportunity to develop, and where everyone feels safe, valued, and included. Bodaskolan is characterized by good relationships, engaged adults who take a holistic view of student development, and students who thrive and experience that they learn a lot.
Job Responsibilities
The position may involve providing support in the classroom, in small groups, or focusing specifically on an individual student. As classroom support, you work to contribute to a good learning environment and provide pedagogical support. As support for an individual student, you follow the student in instruction, sometimes provide one-on-one teaching, and support the student during breaks, in social situations, and during transitions.
In your role as a student assistant, you are a good role model and a trustworthy adult. You are active and involved in the student's daily life and contribute with stability, structure, and routines. Your approach is motivating, and you work with significant student input to give the student the opportunity to develop.
Qualifications
You have relevant upper secondary education, for example in child and youth care, student assistant training, support pedagogy certification, or social pedagogy certification from a folk high school or vocational college. For this position, it is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience with NPF, low-arousal approaches, and working with students with special needs.
We are looking for someone who is confident in your leadership, sees possibilities, and focuses on the student's strengths. You are flexible, creative, structured, and enjoy challenges. You have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude toward students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good knowledge of implementing adaptations for students in need of support and are flexible toward all short-term and long-term changes that are part of the pedagogical work.
For us, group dynamics are important and the assignment is demanding. Therefore, we see that you are a responsible and confident student assistant with a positive attitude and good communication skills. You also have good interpersonal skills and find it easy to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
