Welcome to Fagerhult School. The school is a warm and caring environment where both students and guardians feel welcome. JOB DUTIES In your role, you work to support students in need of special assistance from a holistic perspective on learning, development, and physical activities. You will collaborate with teachers during the school day and with staff in after-school activities. The following are part of your duties: - Build positive relationships with the student(s) - Work in an inclusive, promoting, and preventative manner - Support, stimulate, and motivate students - Act as a resource in the classroom - Provide extra adult support during recess, transitions, and activities such as changing clothes - Work based on intervention plans, follow-up, and evaluation - Promote socialization and interaction with others - Provide practical and physical support in daily situations, for example assistance with transfers and positioning QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with care and support competence and experience working with students in a school environment. You have an inclusive and solution-focused approach and see possibilities based on each student's individual needs and circumstances. You are calm, secure, and attentive, and you have a natural ability to build positive and trusting relationships with both students and adults. Communication and collaboration are natural parts of your work, and you actively contribute to a positive and secure school environment. You are flexible and creative with the ability to motivate, inspire, and encourage student participation. You believe in every student's potential to develop and learn, and you have a holistic perspective on student development where you recognize and leverage each student's strengths, interests, and needs.
