The upper secondary school area has a varied range of activities aimed at young people. Our units are characterized by good quality, closeness, and our active work to create safe and enriching encounters between people in our operations. Our goal is that our students and participants leave their education equipped with the ability to choose their future and proudly look back on their time as students.
At the adapted upper secondary program at Platengymnasiet, students with intellectual disabilities are welcomed for a four-year education. We offer four programs: hotel, restaurant, and bakery; health, care, and nursing; property and construction; and the individual program. At the adapted upper secondary program, we work in teams around small groups of students. The teams consist of both teachers and student assistants.

WORK TASKS
You follow students with intellectual disabilities during a typical school day and support them in schoolwork, social relationships, and daily routines. The position is based on the national programs (corresponding subjects in adapted primary school).
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Intellectual Disabilities
Previous experience with intellectual disabilities, for example within adapted school form or LSS activities.
Knowledge in AAC
Good knowledge of alternative and supplementary communication, such as sign language support, time aids, and visual supports.
Upper Secondary Education
Education from the Child and Recreation Program or Health and Care Program, or alternatively other upper secondary education combined with documented long experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities.
Language Skills
Very good Swedish in speech and writing.
Knowledge in Specialized Subjects
It is meritorious if you have knowledge in some of our specialized subjects within property and construction, hotel, restaurant and bakery, or health, care, and nursing.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: August 10, 2026 or by agreement, end date: June 18, 2027.
Work hours: Daytime
Substitute position. Temporary during the school year 26/27, but with good prospects for extension.
