Student Assistant

In this role, you will be part of the Sector for Children and Education. For us, the development of children and youth is the focus. We work with education from preschool through upper secondary school and we strive for a comprehensive pedagogical approach from ages 1 to 20. You have access to digital tools in teaching and work closely in collaborative learning. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES At Vasaskolan, we have approximately 530 students and 65 employees. We are several professional groups working with our students, and our team of student assistants is an important piece of the puzzle. You work on assignment from our special education coordinator and support either one or several different students and groups during a school day. Together we work to ensure that the students' entire school day is safe with a focus on the learning mission. We are looking for you with a great interest in people and the ability to build good relationships. You assist and support students' teaching together with the responsible teachers. The work involves varied tasks and requires that you are flexible and responsive to our students. QUALIFICATIONS We wish that you have experience working with students in need of support. It is also important to us that you are a good adult role model, and are secure and trustworthy with a professional and low-affective approach. You have completed upper secondary education. It is meritorious if you have completed student assistant training. You have a great interest in people and the ability to build good relationships. You are flexible, solution-oriented and responsive to students' individual circumstances. It is required that you are calm and pedagogical with great patience and the ability to create security for each student. You need to have clarity in your actions. We place great importance on personal suitability. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-07. To begin working in preschool, school, after-school care and other educational activities, you must provide an extract from the criminal record registry. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority www.polisen.se.
