The Opportunity We are seeking an industrial electrician for Hitachi Energy and our business unit consisting of Surge Arresters and Capacitors. At Surge Arresters in Ludvika, we produce and sell surge arresters. New products are developed here and markets are found both in Sweden and in other parts of the world. An arrester protects against overvoltages and is an essential part of a reliable and energy-efficient power system. At Capacitors, we final assemble customized medium and high voltage capacitors for reactive power compensation and harmonic filtering, as well as manufacture DC capacitors for HVDC applications worldwide. Both operations have a high degree of automation with multiple robots, winding machines, electrical testing, process furnaces, fixtures, etc., and we produce around the clock in several sections of production. The role is based in Ludvika and day shift. How You Will Make an Impact Responsible for both acute and preventive maintenance of electrical and control systems. Continuously work to find improvements in the process and identify and implement both short-term and long-term measures. Collaborate closely with production and external suppliers. Participate in initiatives to maintain and improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Contribute to and drive the company's Smart Maintenance initiative through active work with database-driven maintenance systems. Your Background You have secondary education with a focus on electrical work or equivalent qualifications. It is meritorious if you have training in automation. We see that you have several years of experience working as an electrician and good ability and experience reading and understanding electrical schematics. We see that you enjoy working both independently and in a group, and have a positive attitude toward the tasks you undertake. You will work to high quality standards, so it is important that you are quality-conscious, safety-conscious, and take responsibility. You should also be communicative in both Swedish and English with an ability to share your knowledge with the rest of the organization. As a person, we see that you are solution-oriented, flexible, and responsive. To succeed in the role, you need to be results-focused and enjoy working in a production environment.
