The Opportunity
We are seeking an industrial electrician for Hitachi Energy and our business unit consisting of Surge Arresters and Capacitors.
At Surge Arresters in Ludvika, we manufacture and sell surge arresters. New products are developed here and our markets span Sweden and other parts of the world. An arrester protects against overvoltages and is an essential part of a reliable and energy-efficient power system. At Capacitors, we final-assemble customized medium and high-voltage capacitors for reactive power compensation and harmonic filtering, as well as manufacture DC capacitors for HVDC applications worldwide. Both operations feature a high degree of automation with multiple robots, winding machines, electrical testing, process furnaces, fixtures, and more—we produce around the clock across several production sections.
The role is based in Ludvika and operates during daytime hours.
How You Will Make an Impact
Take responsibility for both emergency and preventive maintenance of electrical and control systems.
Work continuously to identify process improvements and implement both short-term and long-term measures.
Collaborate closely with production and external suppliers.
Participate in initiatives to maintain and improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Contribute to and drive the company's Smart Maintenance initiative through active work with database-driven maintenance systems.

Your Background
You have a high school diploma with a focus on electrical engineering or equivalent qualification. It is advantageous if you have training in automation.
We see that you have several years of experience working as an electrician and strong ability and experience reading and understanding electrical diagrams.
We see that you thrive working both independently and in a team, with a positive attitude toward the tasks you undertake.
You will work to high quality standards, so it is important that you are quality-conscious, safety-conscious, and responsible.
You should also be communicative in both Swedish and English with the ability to share your knowledge with the broader organization.
As a person, we see that you are solution-oriented, flexible, and responsive. To succeed in this role, you need to be results-focused and comfortable working in a production environment.
