We are now seeking an Electrical Application Engineer for a comprehensive assignment with a leading player in the defense industry. You will become an important part of a new End-to-End Cable Center of Excellence responsible for developing, verifying, industrializing, and productionizing advanced cable systems. The operation is building a fast-paced and cross-functional team responsible for the entire product lifecycle – from concept and development to verified series production. The work is characterized by short decision paths, significant personal responsibility, and a clear focus on quality, delivery, and technical excellence. Tasks and Responsibilities As an Electrical Application Engineer, you are responsible for electrical design, verification, and integration of cable systems in military vehicles and defense systems. You translate system requirements and technical specifications into robust electrical solutions and work closely with systems engineers, mechanical designers, production engineers, quality assurance, procurement, and suppliers. You follow the solution through the entire development chain – from requirements analysis and design to prototype, verification, system integration, and handover to production. About MIL Cabling MIL cabling, Military Cable Harnesses, are advanced cable systems for military vehicles and defense systems. They must function in very demanding environments and meet high requirements for robustness, quality, traceability, and reliability. The design needs to consider electrical load, signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental impact, material selection, interfaces, and installation conditions. Your Profile Your Main Responsibilities • Develop and design electrical solutions for advanced cable systems • Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications • Dimension cables, conductors, connectors, and other electrical components • Ensure that the design meets system requirements and technical standards • Define and manage electrical interfaces between systems and subsystems • Work with system integration in vehicles or other technical platforms • Participate in prototype development, verification, testing, and troubleshooting • Handle technical deviations and ensure quality of documentation • Provide technical support to production, procurement, and suppliers Expected Deliverables • Complete and quality-assured electrical schematics • Verified and integrated electrical solutions • Clear interface and design documentation • Updated and traceable technical documentation We Are Looking for You If You • Have experience with electrical design or development of electrical systems • Have worked with the creation and management of electrical schematics • Have experience with system integration and technical interfaces • Can interpret technical requirements, specifications, and design documentation • Have experience with verification, testing, or troubleshooting of electrical systems • Have a good understanding of cables, connectors, and electrical components • Have relevant technical education or equivalent work experience • Communicate well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing It is a Plus If You Have • Experience with MIL cabling or equivalent advanced cable systems • Worked with electrical systems in the defense, automotive, aerospace, or marine industry • Knowledge of EMC, signal integrity, grounding, or shielding • Experience with E-CAD tools for electrical schematics and cable design • Worked with requirements management, configuration control, or change management • Experience in operations with high demands on quality, documentation, and traceability As a Person You are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented with a strong technical interest.
