Economics Consultant for Education Services - Uddevalla Municipality

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced economics consultant for a development-focused assignment within municipal education services. You will work with budget structure, financial processes, analyses, and documentation that strengthen the organization's long-term financial management. Start: September 14, 2026 End: January 14, 2027 with possibility of extension Scope: Full-time, approximately 40 hours/week Location: Pre- and Primary School Office, Uddevalla Municipality Assignment Description Create structure in preschool operations budget. Develop and document a clear budget structure that facilitates planning, monitoring, and analysis. Interpretation and management of SKR's price list model. Ensure correct application of the model and develop guidance for future handling. Child and student allowances. Map and document procedures for calculation and decisions regarding child and student allowances, so that handling can be performed simply and equitably by new employees as well. Management of parental fees for independent operations. Review and document processes and ensure correct and uniform handling. Management of additional amounts for extraordinary support (EOS) for preschool and primary school (FSK/GRSK). Support in administration, development, and documentation of procedures related to additional amounts for extraordinary support (EOS). Other tasks that may occur in the form of support to the administration: Budget and follow-up work in close collaboration with operational representatives. The work includes analysis of finances and operational results as well as development and improvement of operational processes. Contribute to strengthening financial expertise within the administration by participating in internal financial training, workshops, and information sessions. Work with method development and environmental monitoring within the financial field to ensure effective and appropriate procedures. Serve as support to units and operational managers in financial matters. The work takes place in close collaboration with the operations and includes both ongoing financial support and support in strategic decisions for future development. In collaboration with other functions within the administration, monitor and analyze shared operational costs, such as facilities, IT, personnel, and various projects and development initiatives. Who is a good fit for this assignment? Must-have requirements for the position At least a three-year university degree in economics or equivalent education. Several years of documented experience in qualified financial work. A CV that clearly presents your competence, experience, and relevant assignments related to the requested assignment. Meritorious Have documented experience working as an economist in a municipality, preferably with a focus on child and education services. Are driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with good ability to plan your work and deliver according to established timelines and deadlines.
