Your responsibilities As an economics controller, you will have a key role in working with the Public Prosecution Authority's overall budget, monitoring, and forecasting. You will provide close and professional support to operations and have many contacts with budget-responsible managers and administrators within the agency in your work. You will be responsible for compiling and analyzing monthly, mid-year, and annual statements for operations designated within the agency. The work also includes analyzing, compiling, and preparing decision-making materials within the economics area for the agency's management, as well as supporting administrators in operations with budget and forecast calculations. Beyond traditional controller work, you will have a key role when the Public Prosecution Authority implements a new financial system with planned deployment at the year-end 2027/2028. There, you will contribute to the development of future processes and system support for budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting, as well as ensure efficient solutions for management information, analysis, and visualization of financial information. Your qualities and qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - An academic degree in economics with several years of experience in qualified accounting work as a controller - Experience working with the development and change of processes and decision support - Good general IT skills with experience from larger financial systems, Excel, and other Office packages - Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing As a person, you are: - Analytical and thorough with an ability to see the big picture - Good at collaborating and creating a good working climate - Responsible, solution-oriented, and reliable in delivery - Communicative and create conditions for knowledge sharing in the forums you lead or participate in It is advantageous if you have experience working as a controller in public sector activities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. About the employment The employment is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Prior to a job offer, the Public Prosecution Authority may conduct a background check in the suspicion register and the burden register. The background check is conducted on the final candidate. Tests may occur in the recruitment process. The Public Prosecution Authority is a crisis management agency. Upon employment, you may be war-posted to the Public Prosecution Authority.
