Your Tasks – Contribute to Efficient Financial Management
Your main responsibility will be to provide support to one or more departments, primarily to the department head regarding budget, forecasts, and to analyze relationships between figures and operations, and ensure appropriate monitoring and reporting. As a centrally positioned economic controller, you will also work closely with your colleagues and agency management on operational management issues, particularly the agency's financial management.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in an area that the Swedish Energy Agency considers relevant or equivalent experience. You have several years of experience working with financial management in public sector operations, such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring. You have experience providing controller support to managers at various levels. Furthermore, you have experience interpreting and applying financial terms based on agencies' appropriation letters or other governing documents. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and are an experienced presenter and discussion leader. You have good knowledge of modern IT systems and programs.

About Us
You will be part of the agency's operational management section, which is located within the Planning and Budget Secretariat at the Staff Division. Here, 14 driven and engaged operational and economic controllers look forward to welcoming you to the secretariat. We focus on governance issues and coordinate contacts with the Government Offices and written guidance from the government such as appropriation letters, assignments, and instructions. We work to ensure that the agency has effective environmental and energy management and coordinate the agency's planning and monitoring processes. In addition, as a section, we manage and develop the agency's management and governance processes.
