Your role as Finance Manager with us As Finance Manager, you play a key role in a department where finance is both complex and crucial for community development. Large infrastructure projects are underway that are shaping the future of Kungsbacka – and you are part of ensuring our resources are used in the best way possible. You are part of the department's management team and participate in the municipality's finance network, where we collaborate across department boundaries to develop governance across the entire organization. The role is both operational and strategic – you alternate between supporting managers in their daily finance work and contributing to long-term planning and development. You lead a finance unit with five competent and engaged employees. Together you work to improve work methods, create efficient routines, and build a culture characterized by trust, teamwork, and a desire for development. You have personnel responsibility and drive both daily operations and long-term change. You are responsible for your unit producing budget documentation, conducting follow-ups, forecasts, year-end accounts, and annual reports. You make financial assessments of our projects, including benefit analyses, and provide decision-making documentation to both management and politicians. An important part of your assignment is also to develop our work with data and analysis. By using BI tools and new digital working methods, you contribute to strengthening data-driven governance throughout the department – and thereby also to smarter decisions. Your profile You are a confident and development-oriented leader with several years of experience in qualified finance work and strategic financial management. You have the ability to see the whole picture without losing sight of the details – and you thrive in the role as both manager and expert. As a person, you are analytical, driven, and solution-oriented. You see opportunities in change and have the courage to try new ways – whether it comes to systems, processes, or working methods. You have a strong commitment to improving and streamlining finance processes, and you actively contribute to creating a culture characterized by collaboration, responsibility, and learning. Your communication and pedagogical skills allow you to explain complex financial relationships in a way that engages and creates understanding. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. You build good relationships both within your team and in the rest of the organization, and you are experienced in working closely with both managers and colleagues in an advisory role.
