PHINIA is now seeking a Chief Financial Officer for an exciting role in an international company with world-class products.
Key Responsibilities
Budget, Business Plan and Forecasting
• Responsibility for budget, business plan and forecasts
• Lead and be responsible for the monthly forecasting process and ensure accurate and well-anchored financial forecasts.
• Support the annual budget and business plan process in line with the facility's strategic objectives.
• Coordinate input from operations and challenge assumptions to ensure quality and consistency.
• Provide clear overview of risks, opportunities and variances to support proactive decision-making.
Operative Financial Support
• Analyze business trends impacting results and identify causes and solutions related to profitability, balance sheet and operational issues.
• Responsible for cost accounting including standard costs, inventory and fixed assets.
• Responsible for financial monitoring of Engineering and identify efficiencies and cost savings.
• Ensure optimization of processes, systems and reporting tools.
Business Case and Investment Evaluation
• Responsible for new business cases and provide financial recommendations in line with business strategy.
• Lead data collection, validation of assumptions and financial modeling.
• Evaluate make-or-buy decisions, expansions and other investments.
• Highlight commitments, investment needs, returns, risks and sensitivity analyses.
Leadership and Team Support
• Provide operational management with financial guidance and foster a culture of high financial awareness.
• Build strong collaboration within the organization.
• Develop the finance department in line with PHINIA's Business Operating Model and ensure succession.
What We Seek
Education/Experience
• Degree in economics or accounting.
• At least eight years of relevant experience with progressively increased responsibility.
• Experience in accounting within manufacturing industry is a requirement.
• CPA, CMA or equivalent is a merit.
• Experience with Monitor and/or OneStream is a merit.
• Knowledge of US GAAP is a merit.
Key Competencies
• Experienced finance leader from manufacturing industry with strong business understanding.
• Documented experience of budgeting, forecasting and investment evaluation.
• Comfortable making decisions in complex cross-functional environments.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Very good communication skills in speech and writing.
• Strong leadership and good organizational ability.
• Good understanding of internal controls/ICFR.
