About the Role As Finance Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the company's finance and procurement functions. You will lead a team consisting of an economist, project controller, and procurement and purchasing coordinator, and be responsible for budgets, forecasts, financial statements, annual reports, financial reporting, and long-term sustainable financial management. You will be part of the management group and serve as an important strategic and operational support to the CEO, managers, and board. The role involves developing analyses, decision-making materials, and financial perspectives that contribute to well-founded decisions, good forward planning, and continued business development. You will also be responsible for developing efficient processes, good internal controls, and compliance with relevant regulations within finance, administration, procurement, and purchasing. An important part of the role is also to contribute to good financial management and monitoring of the company's investments. Water and Environmental Resources is undergoing an extensive development journey. We are developing our organization, our working methods, and how we create value for our customers and owner municipalities. Our operations are developing toward clearer business areas with greater responsibility, better monitoring, and a stronger focus on results, customer benefit, and sound business practices. An important part of the assignment will be to contribute to using finance as a strategic tool for business development. We are reviewing our entire procurement process - from needs and planning through procurement, implementation, and monitoring - to ensure that every invested dollar generates maximum value. We are also developing long-term maintenance plans for the approximately 500 facilities that we are responsible for managing and operating. The current Finance Manager will continue with the company as project controller, which creates good conditions for a well-planned handover and continued close cooperation. Work Locations: Sveg, Hackås, Bräcke, Vemdalen, or Funäsdalen About You We are looking for someone who sees finance as more than reporting and monitoring. You understand the finance function's role as an enabler for operations and want to contribute with analysis, structure, sound business practices, and leadership in an organization where change is a natural part of everyday life. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to build trust at different levels in the organization. You enjoy working closely with both managers and employees and can translate financial relationships into clear, relevant, and useful decision-making materials. As a person, you are communicative and educational, business-minded and operationally focused. You are structured without being bureaucratic, unpretentious, and collaboration-oriented. You are also comfortable with change and experienced in driving improvement initiatives. Requirements We are looking for someone with: - An academic degree in finance or economics, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. - Several years of experience in qualified finance work with responsibility for accounting, financial management, and monitoring. - Experience in leadership with personnel responsibility or other documented experience in leading employees and operations. - Good knowledge within accounting, financial statements, budgeting, and financial analysis. - Experience in developing decision-making materials and presenting financial matters to management and the board. - Good knowledge of digital finance systems and business support tools. - Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. - Experience with investment-intensive operations and project monitoring. Merit Factors - Experience from water and wastewater, waste, energy, or other infrastructure-based operations. - Knowledge of procurement legislation and/or procurement processes.
