We work to combat poverty and vulnerability by promoting children's rights in 16 countries. In Sweden, children's rights work takes place mainly through Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad, in close collaboration with our second-hand stores. In total, we operate about fifty Erikshjälpen Second Hand stores in Sweden and Norway. Would you like to combine broad finance expertise with a meaningful assignment? Erikshjälpen is now seeking a finance assistant for the finance department at our headquarters in Huskvarna. We are looking for you with several years of experience in finance work. You thrive best when you have your own responsibility in a broad role, and both get to participate and contribute in the ongoing work and develop routines, working methods and processes. Welcome with your application! Description: As a finance assistant, you play an important role in ensuring quality, structure and efficiency in our finance processes. You work broadly with ongoing accounting and finance administration, while contributing your experience, a holistic perspective and areas for improvement in daily work. You will be part of a developing finance department where we are reviewing systems, working methods and routines, which gives you good opportunities to influence and contribute. The role also involves close collaboration with colleagues within the department and with managers within the organization as well as external parties. Work tasks: Examples of work tasks: Processing of supplier invoices, approval flows, payment processes and related follow-up Ongoing bookkeeping, account reconciliations and quality assurance of financial documents Participation in monthly accounts, annual accounts and other period closings Support in VAT reporting, monitoring of financial flows and other accounting-related matters Contact with authorities, suppliers and other external parties within the scope of finance work Support and service to managers and colleagues on finance-related matters Contribute to the development and improvement of routines, processes and system support within the finance area Qualifications: You have: several years of experience in broad and qualified finance work, preferably in a role with your own responsibility for larger parts of the ongoing flow relevant education in finance, for example from upper secondary school, vocational college or equivalent good understanding of accounting, financial flows, reconciliation work and period closings good experience working with finance systems and Microsoft 365, especially Excel good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English in both speech and writing share our values (https://erikshjalpen.se/om-erikshjalpen/var-vardegrund/) which are based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Erik's spirit and a Christian view of humanity For success in the role, we see that you: work carefully and structurally and enjoy taking responsibility for quality in details as well as in the whole work independently and have the ability to plan, prioritize and drive your work forward have an easy time collaborating with others and enjoy providing support and service to colleagues in the organization are solution-oriented and see opportunities to improve working methods, routines and processes can manage multiple parallel work tasks and thrive in periods with varying pace Meritorious: Experience with closing work and period closings Experience with VAT reporting and other accounting-related matters Experience with improvement work, change work or development of finance routines Experience from non-profit, non-governmental or other value-driven activities Experience from the systems Visma Net and Medius Go We offer you As an employee at Erikshjälpen, you get to work in a value-driven organization where you, together with engaged colleagues, contribute to promoting children's rights.
