We are now seeking Osby Mekan's next Accounting and Payroll Manager! About the role As an accounting economist, you have an important role where you are responsible for the company's ongoing financial work as well as the accounting and reporting required to satisfy our stakeholders. The role is broad and includes accounting work, business-related support and analysis, as well as payroll management. You will also be expected to develop routines within the financial processes. You work in close collaboration with management and other departments and have overall responsibility for the finance function. This is a broad and varied role that is central to our operations. Our procurement of direct materials is primarily from European suppliers. Responsibilities as an Accounting Economist Accounting, invoicing, and payments Monthly and annual financial statements and participation in inventory audits Budget work, forecasts, and monitoring of production costs Analyses and reporting to management and other stakeholders Payroll management for Osby Mekan AB and our sister company Höganäs Verkstads AB Your profile To succeed in the role of accounting economist, you have experience with similar tasks. You need to be independent to manage year-end closing and ongoing financial operations. Since finance is an essential part of our business, you need to be able to work structurally and be comfortable combining short- and long-term tasks in your daily work. As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, work well with others, and take your own initiative. You are also unpretentious and drive your work forward and make things happen. To succeed in this role, it is an advantage if you have experience in the following areas: Experience and knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial statements. Analytical ability and can work with business monitoring. Worked in an operations-related role at a manufacturing company. Experience handling payroll systems and payroll management. Experience working in business systems and payroll management systems. We use Monitor and Kontek. Knowledge of Excel, Word, and other office programs.
