Description You will work at the municipality's central finance unit, which is part of the municipal administration office. The finance unit has a total of 9 employees. The unit's core mission is to provide support to the political leadership, administrations, and municipal companies on financial and quality matters. The unit has overall responsibility for the entire municipal group's finance and target management, which includes budget, goals, forecasts, analysis, monitoring, accounting, investments, and financing. Job Responsibilities As an economist with us, you will support the municipality's property management in financial matters. You will become part of the operation and work closely with managers and employees to create good conditions for planning, control, and development. The work includes, among other things, budget, forecasts, financial monitoring, and analysis related to property management and its investments. You will contribute with decision-making materials and serve as qualified support in financial matters. In addition to your assignment with property management, you will work with financial monitoring and accounting of EU projects and serve as an administrative economist for one of the municipality's smaller committees. The role also includes overall responsibility for the municipality's investment accounting, from ongoing management and monitoring in the financial system to preparing materials for budget, closing accounts, and annual reports. The work is conducted in close cooperation with colleagues in the finance unit. As an employee in the finance unit, you will also contribute to the unit's overall mission, where work tasks and areas of responsibility can develop based on the needs of the operation. Qualifications We believe you have an economics education at the university level or other experience that the employer considers equivalent. It is a merit if you have at least two years of experience in qualified financial work, preferably with a focus on property management and investment accounting. To be part of the team, we require good initiative, strong analytical skills, and a service-oriented approach. You should have good IT skills, administrative ability, and work well in collaboration, as much of the work is conducted together with people both within your own unit and with the administrations. It is important that you express yourself well both verbally and in writing. We place great importance on personal suitability for the position.
