The Finance Function at the Care and Elderly Services Administration consists of eight employees who work with, among other things, budget and budget monitoring, accounting, financial statements, resource allocation, project accounting, facility coordination, and other current assignments. The position is based at Ramnåsgatan in Borås with proximity to the city center, the scenic park area by Ramnasjön, and the station with bus and train connections. Work Tasks Working as an economist with us involves qualified finance work where you will work with budget, forecast, and monitoring tasks for parts of our organization. You support and guide the administration's managers in financial matters with the goal of utilizing our shared tax resources efficiently. You will monitor and analyze finances while understanding and being able to explain the connection between finance and operations, and provide advice and support on financial matters to the administration's many managers. We handle large amounts of financial data and many financial responsibilities. Your role will be both strategic and operational when it comes to financial accounting focused more on larger flows than individual transactions. As an economist with us, you need to understand, manage, and work with complex allocation models while also possessing solid knowledge in financial accounting, which is the end result of these models. The work will be independent with both freedom and responsibility. In addition, there are several elements of group work and collaboration with economists, managers, and other functions in Borås City. We believe you want to handle work tasks of varying complexity and content where administrative tasks also occur. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is enterprising, curious, and has a strong desire to learn and look ahead. You are analytical and constructively questioning. You have the ability to be adaptable and can handle changes and challenges well. You work well with others, are thorough, and are used to taking responsibility for your work tasks. You have good strategic and analytical abilities that contribute to the development of operations. You see the challenge of working in a varied and sometimes fast-paced work situation with high goals in a positive light. We would like to see that you have several years of experience in finance work such as budget, forecast, and analysis work. Education and knowledge in public administration such as the Public Procurement Act, the Local Government Act, etc., are also highly valued. We value good teaching ability where you can create understanding even among those who are not economists themselves. We also see that you have an aptitude for various system tools and are an experienced Excel user with experience in financial systems, preferably Raindance.
