The Municipality Board's administrative department has the task of supporting, providing service, and ensuring that laws and regulations are followed within their respective areas of expertise, for our core operations in the municipality. The Municipality Board's administration consists of divisions for economics, administration, HR, communication & growth, and the payroll unit.

The Economics Division at Munkedals Municipality has overall responsibility for driving and developing economic management in the municipality, serving as internal service within the economic area, and managing procurement. We are looking for someone who, together with 9 colleagues, wants to contribute to development and quality in our economic management processes. This position is located in the economics division centrally in Munkedal with inspiring facilities and engaged colleagues. Job Description
As an economist, you will have broad and varied work. The largest part will be to provide qualified and consultative support to budget-responsible managers within the culture and education department, where you contribute to ensuring that the department's economic resources are used in the best way. As an economist, you perform investigative and evaluation work within the economic field on matters concerning budget, accounts, forecasting, statistics, and accounting. The role also includes explaining economic contexts to non-economists, as well as work on further developing and continuously improving work routines, models, and methods as a natural part of the work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who
are an economist with academic education.
have previous experience working as an economist.
have good computer skills, including knowledge of Excel and experience working digitally.
have experience with the ERP system Unit4 (meritorious).
have experience working in a politically governed organization (meritorious).

Likewise, we appreciate that you are self-driven, service-oriented, and work in a structured manner in complex contexts.
